In order to make music close to children throughout the years to come for a rich life, music education at the elementary school plays a great role. The only chances for children to appreciate, get interested in and pursue music are in music classes at the elementary school. It has been rather difficult to let children pursue music study by themselves at the elementary school. This is because there have been no clear clues as to how they should study music. In this research, the authors suggest that ”lochlanguage” can be some clues to help children pursue music study. This ”language” is a special language used in music study, in other words, ”a language peculiar to music classes” or ”a language used in talking about music”, which, in fact, differs from child to child. Through using the ”language” suitable for each child's sensitivity and carrying forward thematic learning, he/she can not only clarify the music he/she wants to pursue but also enhance expressive power of musical performances.
