        The root of carrot was divided into four or six vertical sections in order to determine the amount of vitamin C contained in each section respectively. The results obtained were as follows. The regional distribution of vitamin C contained in the root of carrot which belongs to umbelliferae was similar to that of radish which belongs to cruciferae reported by the author in the former report
