Silk and protein-acrylonitrile copolymer fiber (CHINON) were dyed with YEDDO HAWTHORN extracted solution (dye solution), lime solution and the mud of Amami Oshima. The colour of protein-acrylonitrile fiber was the same kind to the silk colour, but was pale to the silk. We have researched the effect of the mud treatment with the combination test of various metal ions (Fe^<2+>, Fe^<3+>, Al, Cu, Sn and Cr) for the mud. The solution contained Fe^<2+>, Fe^<3+>, Al and Cu was the best and the effect was the same to the mud. Conversely Cr has inhibited the mud-treatment effect.
