Echocardiographic evaluation of pulmonary hypertension was studied in 95 patients with various diseases who under-went cardiac catheterization. Parameters studied in relation with pulmonary arterial mean pressure (Pam) were as follows : 1) diastolic e-f slope and opening velocity of the pulmonary anterior semilunar valve on echocardiogram and corrected right ventricular pre-ejection period (RPEP/√<RR>) caluculated from the pulmonary valve echocardiogram and electrocardiogram, 2) C-F distance/C-D distance ratio (F/D ratio) on echocardiogram from the interventricular septum, where C is the point of the bigining of systolic posterior motion…
