過去12ヵ年間(昭和23～34年)(1948～59)における都道府県別に見たポリオ罹患率並びに赤痢罹患率(致命率)の地域差と土壌を中心とした生活環境諸要因との関係を綜合的に比較考察して見ると次の如き事項が認知される。(第７表) 1)ポリオ罹患率の地域差と赤痢罹患率(致命率)の地域差は逆比例の関係にあって、相反した地域差を示している。
