本稿では,「繰り返す」「積む」「重ねる」について機能動詞(村木1991)としての意味の異同を明らかにし,日本語教育への応用について検討する. 「現代日本語書き言葉均衡コーパス(BCCWJ)」で検索した共起名詞の特徴を基に,瀬戸(2005,2007)の「中心義」の概念を用いて,各動詞がどのような中心義を持ち,中心義から機能動詞の意味にどのように連続性を持つかを分析することによって,機能動詞としての意味の違いを明らかにする.最後に日本語教育においてこれらの機能動詞の意味の違いを導入する例として試案を提案する.
