本稿では、村木(1991)の機能動詞の実現相の中から「至る」と「達する」を取り上げ、コーパスにおける名刺との共起状況を手掛かりに異同を検討する。結果としてこれらは実質動詞として「目的地・場所に行きつく」という意味は共通しているが、「至る」はよりその経過や過程に、「達する」はより達すること、達した状態に着目がある点に違いがあり、そこからそれぞれの機能的意味が生まれるという結果を得た。
