インターンシップ参加者へのアンケート調査によると、自身の就職活動への影響として、志望業界・企業への理解が深まることに加えて、大学生どうしの交流・社会人との対話を通じて意欲が高まることがあげられる。一方、体験したことによってその業界・企業への興味が薄れたとの回答もあり、将来的なミスマッチを回避する効果もみられる。内定率・進路決定率は、インターンシップに参加した学生の方が、そうでない学生より高い。大学3年生夏の経験が就業意欲を高めて、結果として自らの進路選択に好影響を及ぼしていることが明らかになった。
