Questionnaires on consciousness for earthquake and its prevention in yamaguchi prefecture immediately after the great Hanshin earthquake

Two questionnaries on earthquake and its prevention were carried out immediately after the Great Hanshin Earthquake in order to improve their consciousness in Yamaguchi Prefecture. One is for the staff members in Yamaguchi prefecture, cities, towns and villages, and the other for the chief of self-governing body. It was clarified from both the questionnaires that about 90% persons have been recognizing that earthquake in Yamaguchi Prefecture seldom occurs, though about 40% persons have been interesting in earthquake. It is suggested that the method of shelter must announce to residents by using the public relations magazine and the disaster prevention measures in administration are necessary.
