The effect of Reynolds number on the turbulent structure downstream of the reattachment region of a backward-facing step has been examined using wall pressure profile, mean velocity data and entrainment rate distributions. A range of Reynolds number R_h is about 7900 to 39700. The reattachment length X_R/h increases in a continuous manner as Reynolds number increases. The redevelopment process of the boundary layer downstream of reattachment point quickly changes as Reynolds number decreases.
