Recently in the head and neck surgery, the pectoralis major myocutaneous flap (PM M-C flap) was utilized extensively. This flap with muscle and island skin had reliable neurovascular pedicles, which were thoracoacrominal artery and anterior thoracic nerve. In this study the motor function of PM M-C flap after the reconstructive surgery of the tongue cancer by EMC (Electromyography) was investigated in 4 cases. For 6 months after the radical operation the EMG finding which signified dysfunctions of peripheral neuron and muscle fiber had not showed. At least when anterior thoracic nerve was preserved, it was concluded that agressive muscle atrophy of PM M-C flap had not occurred.
