Some leeches were found in the feces of an 8-month-old bitch of the Shiba breed raised in Yono, Saitama. From their morphological characteristics, they were identified as Bipalium fuscaltum Stimpson, 1857. They must have been ingested by the bitch while they may have been living in the bush, and discharged in the feces, without being digested.
