臨床研究に求められる倫理手続きのポイント : 求められることは変わる

医学の進歩のためには臨床研究が必要である.しかし,被験者の人権と安全を確保する上で,臨床研究に取り組む研究者に求められる倫理的な手続きの内容は,この10年で大きく変わっている.また,研究が研究資金提供の影響に左右されないように,研究資金の流れの透明化が進められている.特に,臨床研究(研究的薬物治療を含む)においては,研究者側の利益と患者(被験者)の利益が対立することも少なくないことから,他の分野に比較してより一層の透明化と利益相反マネジメントが求められる.臨床研究に関与する研究者に求められる責務はその時の社会認識に大きな影響を受けながら変化を続けている.臨床研究に関与するすべての研究者は,｢求められることは変わる｣という認識を持つことが重要である.

Clinical research is necessary for progress in medicine. However, for securing the human rights and safety of the trial subjects, the contents of ethical procedure required to clinical researchers has drastically changed in this decade. And, clearness of the research fund flow is progressing for preventing the influence by the research fund offer to the research. Especially, as conflict exists between the researcher's interest and the patient's interest in clinical research (including investigative pharmacotherapy), the management of the conflict of interests is required in clinical research field further than the other field. As described above, the duty which required to the clinical investigators participated in clinical research is changing affected by the social perception at that time. It is important that all investigators participated in clinical research recognize that ”the requirement is changing”.
