Water-soluble adenosine 2'-monophosphate (2'-AMP)-and adenosine 5' -monophosphate (5'-AMP) -acrylamide copolymers were synthesized as new affinity ligands used for affinity electrophoresis to determine the dissociation constants of NAD- and NADP- dependent dehydrogenases for 2'-AMP and 5'-AMP. Reaction of 5'-AMPwith bromine at pH 4.0 yielded 8-bromo-5'-AMP and following reaction with allyamine at pH 9.0 yielded 8-allyl-5'-AMP with acrylamide, a water-soluble high molecular weight 5'-AMP-acrylamide copolymer can be obtained. 2'-AMP-acrylamide copolymer was synthesized by the same procedure as 5'-AMP-acrylamide copolymer synthesis…
