Hiroshi Ohe (1913-1989) is an architect who played an active part in Japanese modern times. He had unique thoughts of the characteristic of Japanese building. The aim of this paper is to clarify the spatial composition of Kusohachi-Soin designed by him. In consequence, it is clarified that he composed spatial inside and outside in this building by using three elements. This building is divided in five layers by allotment of grounds by the arrangement of roofs, two layers by multilayer of the roofs, one~four layers by articulation of the space every each ridge.
