A highly efficient method of membrane making for the specimen preparaiton in transmission electron microscopy was contrived. The method includes the following procedures of techniques: 1) Spreading of a collodion film on the water surface 2) Regular placing of copper grids on the collodion film 3) Overlapping of a round filter paper on the above 4)Sinking of the filter paper into the water of vessel 5) Salvaging of the above and transferring into a Petri dish 6) Drying,carbon-coating and preservation of the filter paper. This method provides much more advantageous effects comparison with the conventional method. A large number of grids can be handled at a time of preparation and the following treatments, such as mount of samples, shadowing and negative staining , are very convenient. Therefore, this would be emphasized as a new method in the membrance making.
