Optical microscopy, bulk-rock analyses and electron microprobe analyses of rock-forming minerals have been performed to compare the raw materials of stone pans made from talc schists of the Hogetto site in Nagasaki prefecture and Shimoukegawa-minami site in the Yamaguchi prefecture.
