A unique method for measuring the index of refraction of water (any medium is available) is simply designed. In the proposed method consisted two variaties, a light beam comes directly into naked eyes and the bending of the light beam is never recognized by the observer. The treatment requires only few tools, say a small rod etc., so that the present author firstly made the observation using this method in his dining room with a dish and a pair of chopsticks.
