A 58 years man who underwest lateral segmentebtomy of the liver with hepatocellular carcinoma two years ago was admitted on our department because of another new nodule in segment 7. Subsegmentectomy (7) was performed. Postoperative clinical course was not eventful except thoracic effusion. He is well and working after discharge. Recurrence rate was frequently reported after hepatic resection for hepatocellular carcinoma with cirrohsis. The early detection of another new nodule after the first hepatic resection and the second hepatic resection would make the prognosis improve after resection.
