We analyzed 69 cases (95 lesions) of polypoid lesions of the colon detected by barium enema examination in recent eight years. 1. Polypoid lesions of the colon were observed generally in patients over 40, and the highest frequency was seen in 7th decade group, 2. Patients with the colon cancer seen only over 40, but patients with sarcoma were seen at the age of 13, 23 and 51 years old. 3. Most of the polypoid lesions were found in the sigmoid and rectum, and so were the cases with cancer. 4. The possibility of malignancy should be considered if a lesion is more than 10 mm in diameter or mulberry like form, centrally depressed form or pedunculated form. 5. Films with various double contrast views should be taken to detect polypoid lesions of the colon, Lateral view is especially useful for rectal lesions,
