(1) In July 1956, Fisher described three cases of an acute illness characterized by total external ophthalmoplegia, severe ataxia and areflexia, and thereafter similar cases which were conceivable a specific race variant of Guillain-Barre syndrome, have been called Fisher's syndrome. A typical case of this syndrome in a 22 yearold female was reported in this paper. (2) Pathologic confirmation of the site of disease in this syndrome has not been reported, however following clinical evidences are suggestive of dysfunction within the central nervas system: in ophthalmic syndrome total external ophthalmoplegia with relative sparing of lavator palpebrae function and also at times with sparing of the some vertical movement
