Erythrocyte SOD activity and serum lipids were analyzed on 113 males, aged 20 to 57 years old, of a shop, and examined the correlation of SOD and lipid. The results obtained are as follows. 1. Erythrocyte SOD activities determined showed a normal distribution curve by transformation to logarithmic scale. The mean value and 5% rejection limit of erytyerythrocyte SOD activities were 12.6 units/mg Hb, and lower limit 8.9, upper limit 17.8 units/mg Hb respectively. 2. The data showes SOD activity was decreased with aging. But many serum lipid. 3. A significant negative correlation was found between erythrocyte SOD activity and each of the four serum lipid when age was held constant.
