Hysterosalpingography, transvaginal sonography, and hysteroscopy have been used to evaluate the uterine abnormalities in infertile women. However, endometrial abnormalities such as endometrial polyp or submucous myoma were not sufficiently detected with these techniques. Recently, transvaginal sonohysterography (SHG), which is the sonographic imaging of the uterus with saline or contrast agents distension, has been reported to be useful for the diagnosis of various uterine abnormalities. We reported here two patients with endometrial polyp and submucous myoma, who were correctly diagnosed by SHG and treated by resectoscopy.
