グローバル人材の育成への試みとして、留学生センターの日本語授業と教育学部の社会科教員養成の授業で合同授業を行った。2年間の授業実施を経て、受講生は「伝え方」というコミュニケーションそのものの意味および「考え方」という社会や文化を見る視点について変化が見られたことも明らかになった。留学生・日本人学生がともに「国」ではなく「個人」という枠組みで考えるようになり、積極的な意見交換ができるようになることが観察された。
