2008年の7月と8月に短期留学生を対象として、留学生自らが作成した調査票を使用し、「特別聴講学生（留学生）の生活実態調査」を行った。短期留学生の日本語能力には大きな開きがあり、留学目的も多様である。将来、日本の大学院への進学を希望する者や日本での就職を希望する者が増えてきている。短期留学生の生活実態調査の結果を分析し、今後の課題を考察する。
