This article is a part of the report of the field investigation on vege-table crops at Wakamatu city in 1959. The soil infectious diseases which were usually found on the summer vegetables in this district were Fusarium wilt of Tomato and Cucurbitaceae (Fusarium oxysporum(SCHL.)f.lycopersici SNYID.et HANS.),(Fusarium oxysporum(SCHL.)f.niveum SNYD.et HANS.)and Corticium root-rot of Tomato(Corticium rolfsii CURZI). Numbers of colonies of bacteria and fungi which were isolated from 52 soil samples collected from this district were counted. Chinese cabbage may be the most suitable vegetable in autumn in this district, for there found no soil infectious disease except soft-rot.
