1. The pollens of Citrus JNatsziiaidai, collected immediately after its bloom., was found to live to the age of 150 hours, though they are not practically to be used when more than 40 hours elapsed. 2- 2.4-D of more than 1/1,000 dilution has no harmful effect on the germination of the pollens, and 1/10,000 dilution has no effect on the germination rate, while dilutions less than 1/100,000 do the beneficial effect on it. 3. The pollens, which scarcesly have the germinating power after the lapse of 150 hours, are yet able to germinate, when they are treated with 2.4-D of less than 1/10,000 dilution. 4. The pollens prolong their life to some degree, when they are preserved in dry condition.
