Source Identifiers
The fungi belonging to the Family Atichhceae have never been hitherto reported to be found in Japan. Since 1951 the writer had on several occasions the fortunate opportunity to collect the fungi which were suspected to belong the very family. In careful coasideration of the structure of fruit body and the perfect stage of fructification the writer identified them with Atichia milaedelii R_<ACIBORSKI>. This fungus seems to be widely distributed in south-western Japan, and the future discovery of the fungus in other places is naturally expected.
