On the characteristics of media and the learning materials of appriciation in art education

In our visual environment, we have to take into consideration the different kinds of media that are related with our daily life. Media has some influence in the Art Education. We became able to accept visual informations by media and have the opportunity to operate them. In spite of this, we do not use media as learning material of Art Education in elementary and junior high school. In this paper, we will describe the kind of media that can be adopted as learning material of Art Education, and make a comparison between its expression and others means of expression of Art Education. Trough this comparison, we will consider media's characteristics and its technic of expression, reporting how important is the media as learning material of appreciation in Art Education.
