This is a report on a soil survey made on the upland field in Wakamatu City, Hukuoka Prefecture. The soil of 94 places in the ditrict was examined in horizon and bed at profiles,texture,and chemical composition. As a result, five soil types were found,and instructions of how to improve the fertility of soil, and how to elevate the yield of crops, is shownfor the benefit of the farmers.
