アルミニウム合金板52S-O材は, 耐食性, 強度等の面から広く用いられている.いま普通鋲継手の疲労強度を, 最小応力と最大応力の比を一定とする部分片振引張によって, 板厚組合わせ(2+4)mm, 孔径6mm, 単一点および多点継手の試片に対しその疲労強度を求めた.なお近時作業能率を向上せしめるために各種の鋲が用いられているが, そのうちアウプリベットに対し, 普通鋲と同一試験条件で, 同一材質, 同一試片寸法でその疲労強度を明らかにした.
