モルタルおよびコンクリートの円筒供試体の中央断面における中心部のひずみと, その断面の側表面のひずみ分布様相の差異を求めるための目的で実験を実施したが, 本実験の範囲においては測定結果の差異はほとんど認められなかった.そして, Carlsonひずみ計はひずみ計の操作やゲージ貼付に対する熟練を要する他のひずみ計よりも, 測定精度の点からも優れていることが認められたが, 実験に使用した各ひずみ計は測定すべき部材や構造物に対する使用箇所により, おのおのの特長を発揮するものであることを述べたものである.
