Descriptions
Sangun metamorphic rocks of this disrict are grouped petrologicaly and straigraphically into two areas : i east area, mainly composed of black schists and green schists. Thickness is about 2500m. 2. west area, mainly composed of green schist and meta-diabase, and black schist. Thickness is more than 3000m. Both formations have a general trend running E-W or NEE-SWW direction, although the anticlinal and synclinal structures are developed. Cnnstituent minerals in green schists are glaucophane-epidote-albite-chlorite-actinolite in the east area, and actinolite-epidote-albite-chlorite in the west area. Judging from mineral assemblages the Sangun metamorphic rocks in this area belong to epidote-glaucophane facies in the east area, and epidote-actinolite facies in the west area.
