Descriptions
The dyes solution (which was extracted from YEDDO-HAWTHORN)was mixed at room temperature with Ca(OH)2 solution. As the result, calcium ion has reacted the dyes and formated a insoluble red precipitate. The dyed silk fabrics was mordanted by calcium ion in the same way. The effect of mordancy by Ca2+ was more remarkable at the dyeing after the lime water treatment than at the treatement. The dyes solution and the dyed silk fabrics was treated with various metal ions except calcium. Fe2+ and Fe3+ was most effective in mordancy and Cu2+ and Mn2+ was valjd in colouring.
