アルミニウム合金を溶接する際に生ずる溶接部欠陥が, 疲労強度におよぼす影響を調査する目的で, 突合わせ溶接継手における溶接部欠陥のJIS級別と疲労強度の関係を求め次の結論をえた.母材52S-O, 芯線56Sにおいては, 余盛りを有する場合には, 溶接欠陥は疲労強度に影響をおよぼさない.余盛りを削除した場合の疲労強度は, JIS1級のみやゝ高くその他の場合は疲労強度に変化はない.
