最近、わが国の児童や生徒の学力が国際的にみてかなり低下していることが問題となっている。その原因の一つとして「ゆとり教育」が問い正され、授業内容の見直し等が進められている。著者は前論文において教育に関する総数41冊の著書・雑誌から大学教育に希求される手法あるいは大学教育の問題点を記述した。本論文では、その後に読んだ教育に関する20冊の著書から2編の前論文と同様に特に教育方法に有益である箇所を引用して、大学教育を教員および学生の立場から考え、より良い大学教育を実現する手法について述べている。
