採用活動で重視する大学生の資質について、学内業界・企業研究会の参加企業にアンケート調査を行った。主体性を重視する企業が最も多く、チームワーク、他者受容の資質がこれに続く。地方企業のなかで、グローバルマーケットを相手にする会社では、チャレンジ精神や専門家志向が、ローカルマーケットの会社では、経営志向や他者受容を重視する傾向が、全国型に比べて強いことがわかった。教養ある学生の育成、汎用的能力を高めるための正課外教育の構築、就職活動への意欲を高める仕組みなど、大学教育の課題を指摘する。
