山口県阿武郡阿武町宇生賀で2014 年6 月に実施された大学生と地域住民との草引き交流会において， 交流会前，草引き作業終了後， 交流会後の3 回にわたって地域住民のストレス状況を日本語版POMS 短縮版で調査した。6 つの観点で総じて一般的平均ないしそれよりも低い値を示しており，交流会の実施対して地域住民はストレスをほとんど感じていなかったと判断できた。「怒り」という観点では3 回とも平均よりもかなり低い値を示しており， 調査対象とした地域住民の大きな特徴と言える。
