Descriptions
Graphite-furnace atomic absorption spectrometry is used for the determination of >0.002% of bismuth in aluminium and its alloys. The samples are dissolved in hydrochloric acid and analyzed directly after addition of slight excess of (NH_4)_2 EDTA over aluminium. Sample and standard solutions must contain equal amounts of EDTA.
