Fundamental study on improving utility of city parks : Tokiwa park in the Yamaguchi Ube City as a case

This study aims to expand the role of the park and the range of use and to promote the use. Additionally, the diversification and complication are advanced though the resident requests from the park. It has aimed at obtaining of the method for finding a concrete activation strategy. The Tokiwa park covers as a case study, and it explores the direction of the management for the activation of the Tokiwa park in the future. Through interviews and field work, I was able to understand the attraction of Tokiwa Park and the opinion of the users. Both of the finding obtained by two investigations are analyzed, and a concrete activation strategy of the Tokiwa park is examined.
