本稿では、平成18年度から約2年間にわたって、情報処理分科会所属の教員を中心に、検討を行ってきた共通教育における情報教育カリキュラム改訂のための研究内容と、そのカリキュラムの概要を明らかにする。まず平成19年度までに、各学部で実施されてきた情報処理演習における教育内容の問題点や指導体制の課題について明らかにする。これらの問題点を解決するために、指導体制をどのように再編成したのかについて、そのねらいと経緯を解説する。さらに、情報教育の改善の一貫として、最近、社会的なニーズとして重要視されている情報セキュリティ、情報モラルに対する教育を、どのように取り込もうと考えているのかを、策定された新シラバスの内容の紹介を交えながら解説する。
