低損失なY分岐光導波路として既に提案しているモード変換型スラブY分岐中の光波伝搬をビーム伝搬法によって解析している。Y分岐全体にわたる界分布の解析結果より、途中に導入したモード変換部が極めて効率的に機能していることが確認された。
